You should always read the directions from the swaddle manufacturer. We have rated the swaddle based on how easy it is to use and master.
We have categorised them as follows:
Very easy
Easy
Medium
Hard
We tested all our swaddles with a decibel meter 5 inches from the swaddle.
We have categorised them as follows:
Silent – Below 60 dB. Normal household noise.
Quiet – Between 60 and 70 dB. Office noise.
A little noisy – Between 70 and 80 dB. Vacuum cleaner.
Loud – Over 80 dB. Heavy traffic.
Opening a swaddle only takes a second or two, though most babies will not be disturbed, those who are more sensitive may be. Check out the information on ease of diaper/nappy changes to see if you need to fully unswaddle to do a diaper/nappy change.
